When it comes to Branding Campaigns, IMAGES is proud to recall one turning point in the industry. We remember how we started a new trend – covering street boxes with images, for a more attractive way to compliment our city’s appeal.
Our branding consultant and project manager was contacted by TC’s newly appointed manager, recently welcomed from Florida, USA, to develop a marketing campaign that would cover the proving of BC area. The project included coming up with a new fresh look for the newspaper box dispenser. Ricardo accepted to manage the complete project from conceptual stage to completion phase. He worked on an initial prototype which he presented and was embraced with open arms.
In thinking outside the box (no pun intended), the unique design incorporated a completely new concept – a new metal blue box which would include, on its sides, two custom cut-outs of a legislative building photo (pro stock photo licensing from PHOTOSURE.COM), custom-printed on special reflective 3M decal stock. In addition, the Times Colonist name was to be printed and cut-out from white reflective stock (to be placed on the front and sides of the box).
A total of 100 units of each were prepared, printed and custom manually installed on to 50 boxes. All stages of this project were produced, managed, seen to completion by Ricardo and team. Note: If you ever come across one of these boxes, take a minute and a look at the bottom of the photo – you will see Ricardo’s credit for design and photography services.
